Sally Higgins has been recognized as a Local Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation 2018. She is also included in Benchmark Litigation’s Top 250 Women in Litigation in the U.S, only one of six North Carolina lawyers to be included.

Amended Local Rules

Amended Local Rules for the North Carolina Business Court take effect today. Sally Higgins served as a member of the Local Rules Committee of the North Carolina Business Court, in which complex business cases and matters of commercial and corporate law are litigated. The Business Court Rules were last revised in 2006.

Sally Higgins to Serve as President of the Board of Directors

Sally Higgins began serving a two-year term as President of the Board of Directors of the Myers Park High School Foundation. The Foundation works to enhance the educational experience of every Myers Park student by expanding opportunity, addressing unmet needs and funding innovation. Higgins, a Myers Park graduate in the Class of 1987, began serving on the Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2014.

Ray Owens to Serve as President of the Board of Directors of Conservation Trust for North Carolina

On January 1, 2016, Ray Owens began a two-year term as President of the Board of Directors of Conservation Trust for North Carolina, having served as a member of the Board since 2011. CTNC works with local land trusts, property owners and communities to protect streams, forests, farms, scenic vistas, wildlife habitats and other natural treasures. CTNC leads and coordinates the preservation of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and works with 23 local land trusts across the state, which together have conserved over 400,400 acres in almost 2,500 locations.
